Today was one of those days. I did put in my time on Shelf Life – it’s always hard to get going. I hit a wall in talking about the importance of partnering. Today I figured out that I could indirectly do this by writing about inviting our many partners to the upcoming CLIA award. This is a good, concrete example. And I will after the ceremony, write about it, although right now I’m not sure what I’m going to say.
Now, if I had bypassed today and refrained from writing I might not have gone in this direction. Instead, I would have continued to flail around with my not so good examples.
I stopped at the Post Office on my way to town and picked up four boxes of books from Fort Lauderdale Florida. I then went to the BLBPLC, and as I was starting to pull into my parking space, I saw that Pam and Bea were unloading a truck full of books. So I ended up all total, sorting out 24 boxes of books. I’m fast and efficient, so I was home by 7:00 p.m.
Pete and I did go for a ride tonight. Raudi and Tyra did very well. I had this revelation about Raudi’s grass grubbing habit. I should encourage her to move on and at the same time ride with a lighter rein.
And I also found the time to get Hrimmi out. I took her around the loop, did what we call the tour of the neighborhood. Hrimmi alerted when she saw that those who routinely come here to work at the Alaska state fair are back. With them, lots and lots of children. I hurried past because this hoard is like mosquitoes. Hrimmi of course wanted to hang out, but it was by now past 10:00 a.m.
Yes, it was yet another full day.
