If we are here and this happens, I hope I am outside, in the middle of the horse enclosure.
If we are far away and this happens, I am sure that we’ll head for home.
Pete checked on the bees today – they are in our neighbor Karen’s garage. He said they are vigorous (my word) and he gave them sugar candy. I don’t like it when the bees die – I think that they are high energy, and the death of a hive is a huge cosmic loss.
The wind did die down, and everyone has a story. My only story, which I have told everyone, is that the dumpster moved. Poor Pete is probably sick of hearing me tell this story, but we did not endure any hardship, like those who had power and lost it.
What can I say besides the fact that I worked at the kitchen table and got overly tight in my groin areas?
It was a really good day, now that I think of it. The former banquet room of the historic Eagle hotel is always quite peaceful. We now have one easy chair that’s being used, and we need a second one. Today Anna’s partner Joe sat in it and talked at length about his health issues.
He needs a dog, but they live in a retirement community and can’t have one. I am going to find him a walking partner. I may walk with him when the weather gets better.
We also had a visit from a potential new board member. Feeling passionate about books seems to be a motivator. Hmm, I guess this is a start. I would like to see a board in which our members work hard and work well together, reverse the order of this.
More winds on the way.
